PewPew 2026 macOS

A retro-inspired audio sampler that invites you to play with sound. Drag audio files onto tracks, record directly from your microphone, then sequence, pitch-shift, reverse, and layer samples into something new.

PewPew is built in C — fast, immediate, and deliberately low-level. The interface draws from 1970s hardware samplers: colored waveform slots, a piano keyboard for chromatic pitch-shifting, per-track choke controls that determine whether samples cut each other off or pile into chaos. Effects include delay, reverb, chorus, and a reverse mode that turns any sample inside out.
